22

Well... here we are. The dreaded 22. The good ol' double two. Double dos. Twin two's. Just think, once I live the life time I've already lived... I will be 44! Man. Anyway, 21 treated me well, I guess. I definitely made the most memories being 21 than I think any other age. It was fun and sad and exciting and depressing and enthralling and cool and insane and adventurous and so many other words I could describe... but you get the point. 21 was probably my biggest year yet. Looking back on my post about turning 21 last year, I was in a time of my life where I had never been happier. A time where I was on Cloud 9 and then some. It was amazing. I also stated that I hoped when I posted about turning 22 a year later, that I'd still be just as happy. I will admit, I'm not as happy as I was this time last year, but life has it's ups and downs. Also right now I have MANY options for my life. From personal things, to choosing a new job, preferably a career. Maintaining and growing relationships and friends. Really carving a path for MY LIFE and MY FUTURE. I feel, that the age of 22 will really be the first year that starts my adult life. I believe that when I post about turning 23 a year from today (wow, OLLLD) that I will have a very different life... and I think that's a good thing. I can see some of the things I believe will change, but others, I'm sure, will be a surprise. I'm nervous and excited, hopeful but cautious. I just hope that this time next year, I have a smile on my face, and happiness in my heart.

Hershey Park!

Last Friday, David and I decided we wanted to go to Hershey Park... so we did lol. We went up on Friday evening, got stuck in a TON of traffic and got there after about 4.5 hours. We stayed at the Sheraton and BOY was it a nice hotel. It was like a mini city in itself lol. Anyway we went to Hershey Park on Saturday and had a blast :D We even made a music video to "Bad Romance" and they showed it on TVs in Hershey and when people recognized us, the huge crowd cheered and clapped and yelled for us. Haha, I guess you can say we were famous for a night :) On our way home on Sunday, we saw right off the interstate a very pretty lake and park with some people. We decided to take the closest exit and after about 10-15 mins of adventuring, we found our way to the lake, Lake Redmond. We were able to rent a paddle boat and spent about an hour on the water. Doing small things like this, stopping to smell the roses instead of just looking straight ahead to get home really does enrich your life. I'm so glad we did this. Below are pictures and if you want to watch it, a video of our little Lake Redmond adventure.

The Zoo and Gay Pride

Alright so on Friday the 11th, David and I decided to head to The National Zoo in DC. We went and had a pretty good time. Not too much to detail on that trip. Just a nice, chill day trip :) Below is a picture of me sitting on a large eagle statue haha.

Well later on Friday night, David and I went to TOWN to begin Gay Pride at the club. We had a pretty good time. Tatianna, Morgan and some other chick from RuPaul's Drag Race were there. I went crazy when Tatianna came out! I LOVE HER! :D Anyway we danced the night away and came home and had a good day overall. Although, by the time we got home, I could barely move. Haha below is David and I getting it on on the dance floor... the strobe lights gave me crazy eyes lol

And finally, Saturday was the actual Pride Parade. That was so fun! So many people and events and happiness! They were throwing beads and candy and so many other random things. It lasted for about 3 hours! But it was totally worth it! Below are some pictures from the parade. I didn't take too many pictures, but at least I got a few.

The 3G Post - Graduation, Geocaching and "Glee"

So last Thursday, June 3, was Kent Island High School's graduation for seniors. It was a sad but exciting time. I got to see so many of my friends graduate and move closer to their futures. This summer is going to be hard knowing most of them are leaving me in a couple months. I'm going to try and hold onto them as tight as possible untl then however. A HUGE storm hit the school during graduation. The lights went out, thunder boomed, people screamed... it was AWESOME! Haha! I went to graduation with Cyndl, who graduates next year :)

So I've started to participate in a new hobby I recently discovered. It's called geocaching. To learn more about it go to their site geocaching.com . Basically, it's a worldwide treasure hunt amongst millions of people in an underground like community. I was shocked at how many people know about it. And it's pretty fun! David and I went geocaching for the first time on Sunday, using my Droid, we found 2 caches successfully. Here are two pics from our adventure!
Above: Our first geocache ever. Found in bleachers.
Below: Found this one in the woods :)

"Glee" has become an absolute obsession of mine. I'm ADDICTED to it. And the season finale is tonight. And I gotta tell ya, I'm going crazy with anticipation! Haha. The next season doesn't start until 2011... HOW WILL I LIVE!? Haha, I'm sure I will find a way. But tonight is all about the finale and I can't wait. "Glee" certainly has become one of the best shows of the decade. :)

Rest of Ocean City Trip...

So it's been over a week since David and I got back from OC, but I'm just now gonna tell you about it lol. So I left you off right before we hit Ripley's Believe It or Not, the mirror maze and the lazer maze. Well they were all so fun! David and I had a blast!

Sunday: Sunday, we laid out and tanned quite a bit. We hit up the arcade some more I think, walked around and just enjoyed the sights. We also decided that we wanted to stay an extra day... so we decided to leave on Tuesday instead of Monday.

Monday: So we had to switch rooms quickly and after that.. we tanned some more and walked around, had a nice dinner. Just chilled. The last couple of days in OC we very relaxing and just nice :)

Tuesday: So we wake up early... like 6:45am early (thanks babe lol) and we pack up and then go for a bike ride in the morning on the boardwalk. That was SOOO fun. I'm glad David wanted to do that. I will probably do that every time I go now. Here's a video of that...

Then we returned them and walked around a bit, played some more at the Arcade. Got fudge and popcorn and a funnel cake and made our way back home. :) It was a very nice "honeymoon" type of vacation. For future reference, The Hotel Monte Carlo is very nice and convenient.
Here are some pics from the trip :)
