My "American Idol" Picks

Ok so "American Idol" is crazy awesome this year! The talent is unbelievable. But if I had to narrow it down to two guys and two girls, this is how I'd do it taking in the last two weeks that the Top 24 have been on stage live.

THE GUYS

David Archuleta ROCKS! He's mad talented and has an awesome stage presence. He has a very unique sounding voice that will blow you away. He's easily number 1 for me this week.

David Hernandez is a natural singer. His voice is pure and strong. It could easily be molded into anything producers wanted it to be. He's good enough to be number 2 on my list as things go this week.

THE GIRLS

Ramiele Malubay is an itsy bitsy powerhouse! She reminds me of Christina Aguilera. Very petite, but extremely powerful. Ramiele has a squeeky mouse talking voice, but superstar singing voice. And she's cute. Total package.

Wow. Carly Smithson can sing! She almost made it to #1 for me this week in the girls, but Ramiele's power just barely edged her out. I have a feeling that Carly and Ramiele will be at the top of my picks every week, probably taking turns at the top.

Same Music, Different Song

Ok so this is kinda like what I did last year with Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend". See, last year Avril's original version of her song was pitted against a Lil' Mama remix which friggin rocked! Well the same thing has kinda happened again... sorta. See, the music to one song has been allowed to be used on two songs. So we have two songs that have been released to the music world by two completely different artists using the same music. Crazy huh? Ice, Ice Baby! (And Some Snow)

Wow, it's been a winter wonderland of sorts this past week! On Thursday, February 14 we had some ice in the form of freezing rain, then this past Wednesday the 20th we had a quick, heavy snow as seen below, and yesterday, Friday the 22nd we had more ice from freezing rain! Brief But Heavy Snow Yesterday

Yesterday it snowed pretty hard from like 1PM til 630PM. Here are some pics I took as were out and about. Notice how bad the visibility was. This was our heaviest snow this year (sadly), totaling a little over 3".

The next 2 pictures show what it looked like headed to the Bay Bridge from Annapolis.

I'm Calling It!

Ok so I have avoided this subject for a while, but OMG I have to go there today! The subject is Britney Spears. I know I know, lol. But I think I'm seeing something no one else is. They are all so focused on Britney improving, and returning to her old pre-crazy self, that I think they aren't looking at all the right places... such as HER STOMACH! Look at this photo taken last night and focus on her stomach...

... doesn't she look like she's PREGNANT!? (thanks x17online.com for the picture) I believe people will start noticing and it definitely will become a big deal. Maybe she's just gaining weight? Doubtful. It looks like a baby bump. I hope not. If I'm right, I will update the subject, hopefully I'm wrong though.

We Just Had A Hail Storm!

We just friggin had a hail storm... IN FEBRUARY! Hail is NOT sleet. Sleet falls when its cold, like in winter like storms. Hail is what happens in severe storms, strong cold fronts or tornadoes. Today it was a strong cold front. At around 4:30 PM it started hailing and i ran and got my camera, and got some great shots! Here's the video!

Been Busy... Rest Today

So for the past few days I've been pretty busy, but today I think I'm just gonna take it easy.Watch some TV, listen to music and eat lots of food. If everything goes right, next week will be pretty jam packed too. I'm gonna really amp up my job search, I really want a job! I'm not just going to settle though... I'm going to get the job I want. Also next week I'm also gonna be at the gym a lot. I've been working on my summer body and I am gonna pick up the pace starting this coming week.

Update To The Post Below

Soooo.... i spoke too soon. Our power is out for good. Like I said, the winds did indeed pick up quite a bit and wow... it is intense. As i type this on my phone the winds are shaking the windows of my house violently. Its really loud. I bet we have gusts in the 60 MPH range. The power is out on the entire island so i dont think its gonna be back on anytime soon. And of course all that cold air is here now that the front has passed over us causing the outage! I will update ya later. Hopefully I will find a way to stay sane. I will have video of the wind when the power comes back on.

UPDATE:
Ok so the power came back on! Woot Woot! It came on at around 6:20 PM. A good 2 hours after it went out. The wind is still blowing so hopefully we won't have another outtage.

What A Contrast!

Wow! Look at the "Feels Like Temps" outside this hour! What a difference in location. It feels like it below zero in western Maryland and it feels like the 40's and 50's in eastern Maryland and Virginia. Why the stark contrast? Well this is why...
... it's a strong arctic front plowing through the area and it's not only bringing cold temperatures and wind chills, but also howling wings of 50+ MPH. It's already taken out our power today, fortunately not for too long. Those frigid windchills will be here at my house in a few hours when the front passes over with the crazy winds peaking out this evening here.

New "Mic's Top 10" Gets My Thumbs Up!

WOOHOO! I have finally decided to resurrect "Mic's Top 10 Monthly Songs". I previously ended the monthly countdown of my top songs for that respective month after August 2007 due to the fact that it just got overwhelmingly difficult to keep up with my top songs for that month, however that all ends THIS MONTH! January 2008 will bring a new light to "Mic's Top 10 Monthly Songs", with songs #1-#10 will be recorded with 100% accuracy again. YIPPEEEEE!!! One thing that will not return will be play counts, that way at the end of the year you can't tally everything and figure out my biggest hit of that year until you listen to my yearly countdown! Lol. So look for my new monthly music chart again at the end of every month!

Snow... Last Week, And This Week

Ok so last Thursday the 17th we had a quik shot of really heavy snow. It added up to about 2.5" - 3", not much but it came down hard and fast. Here are the pics. And just a FYI, exactly one week later, this past Thursday the 24th, it snowed again, but not as much.

OMG! I'm Pulling My Hair Out!!!!

Ok so not literally but still. I have SOOOO much time on my hands... I HATE IT! It's driving me crazy. Especially when all my friends have class and jobs. It sucks. I mean really blows. I feel like I've been dropped on an island isolated and no one to hang out with and only occasionally talk too via text messaging lol. Anyway, I can't wait til I get a job. I have a really strong desire to work at a particular place, but i'm not gonna talk about it til something happens with it... if it does.

Music has been pretty scarce for me. I've had the same songs in my "Current Favs" playlist for the last about 2 months, until recently when I started getting
tired of them and have been slowly removing them. Well I finally have a
surge of new music and I'm LOVING it! They are awesome songs by new

Ok so as you know, i've been spending a lot of mulah on electronics lately, and in doing so i have not bought any clothes recently. So today i am headed out to spend some money on new clothes and shoes that i desperately need. FINALLY! Lol. Under garments, pants, shirts, jackets, socks. shoes... you name it i need it. So today is the day i restock my closet and drawers with clothes! :-D

Haha, Florida Is "Cold"

Lol, ok so there is a "Wind Chill Advisory" in effect for central and southern Florida including the Miami area. Windchills will be in the teens for inland Florida, which is pretty darn cold for south Florida, while South Beach and the rest of south Florida's coastline can expect windchills in the upper 20's to near 30 degrees. Come on you bunch of cold weather babies! Lol. Our highs in the winters here don't get outta the teens sometimes. Nevermind the winchills! But, when your not used to it I can see the point. But still its kinda funny... atleast in my own little dimented mind.

Yay! My "Top 50 of 2007" Is Completed!

It took a year of listening to music. It took weeks to
make, edit, eliminate and choose an album cover. And it took long,
strenuous days of recording, editing, and tweaking to make it all come
together... and now "Mic's Top 50 of 2007" is finally completed! I took
the 50 most played songs on my computer and ipod for 2007 and made it
into the best countdown EVER! And I am glad to say that it will be
available to anyone that wants it! Just call, email or text me and you got it!

Working On Top 50; Maybe New Monthly Music Chart

OK so I'm working on my Top 50 of 2007 and it should be completed and ready for digital download with album cover next week. Can't wait to reveal #1 to everyone!

Ok so my monthly top ten songs each month used to be tracked, but life got so hectic and I stopped. But now I'm looking for other options, so stay tuned. 2008 HERE WE COME!

Told Ya!!

I was right... i said that I thought those blizzard predictions for us were wrong... and they were. Just like I said 4 days ago, its going to be warmer than they thought. We're not going to get anything but rain with temps in the 40's... like I said, lol. Also I said the rain/snow line would probably end up somewhere around the New York City area... and that's exactly where it's gonna be. There will however be an all out, crippling blizzard slamming the interior North East. Wish it was us! Oh well. Here's the updated computer models... just look at the post below to see how much of a difference it is. I'm the yellow dot under "ME"... go figure, lol.

Probably Just Hype, But Is There A Mid-December Blizzard On The Way?

OK, so we had a pretty good snowfall last week of about 3 inches. However, computer models are all starting to point at a major east coast storm around Sunday December 16 and Monday December 17. Yesterday it wasn't on the maps at all, this morning it was and strong, and now according to Accuweather.com meteorologist Henry Margusity, this evenings run of the models put it at record breaking blizzard strength! Now blizzards aren't unheard of here, but one in December pretty much is, especially as strong as this model is putting it at. Now I got my weather geek on, and looking at all forecast models combined put this thing pretty weaker, and with us in much warmer weather, like near the 45*-50* area of the thermometer. In that case, we'd get all rain no matter how much the storm dumps. So my early call is the computer models are getting overly excited about this storm, and they aren't factoring the realistic temperature forcasts. Its going to be a moderate (6"-12") snowfall with the snow/rain line right around the New York City area. Just for craps and giggles, I'm the little yellow dot next to "me". Again in the prematurely forecasted "blizzard" area. Just my thoughts, will keep you posted. I hope we get a blizzard here though with this one, would be so awesome! I want atleast 18"! LOL. Hey, I can dream... especially with the storm arriving before the official start of winter, lol.

SSSSSSSNNNNNOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!!!!!

YIPEEEEEE!!!!!!! We got our first snowfall and it was actually decent! All in all we got a 3" snow. It started at around 6 AM on Wednesday December 6, and ended at around 11:30 PM. So it was an all day snowfall, the best kind! When it was winding up it came down really hard! It was crazy! Here are two pictures from my front yard the next morning.

Intense Monday Night Football

This is what a intense football game looks like in my household, lol. It was a good game, Ravens vs. Patriots in Baltimore. It was Monday cold night with snow flurries throughout the game on December 3rd. So close. The best game I have ever seen. We lost. But still an awesome game.

Almost Died... Maybe

So the house was filling up with the smell of propane ( I didn't smell it, but others did), and no one knew where it was coming from. Eventually my grandmother found that the BBQ propane tank had been opened completely. Why? Don't know. Cold, sleet and some snow and rain aren't exactly idealic conditions for a cook out, so we haven't had one for a few months, so that wasn't it. Hmmmmm.....

Back From NYC

So my trip to NYC was good. First day, our car broke down. But when your there you don't need a car thanks to all the public transportation. Did a little shopping, and a lot of walking and subway riding. Not much else to say. Here are some pictures I took while bored on the trains, and a hyper video as well!

Stuck In Traffic

Ok so i'm headed to NYC right now and i'm stuck in major traffic. I just crossed into Delaware from Maryland and the traffic is not moving. I really hate traffic! I will deal though, just wanted to vent lol.

I Just Bit My Tongue!

Owwww! I was eating a burger and all of a sudden I was in excruciating pain! I bit my tongue so hard i thought it was bit in half! It hurt so bad. I couldn't move my mouth. I got some papertowels and put it in mouth and sure enough my portal of tastebuds was bleeding. So i got some ice wrapped in a papertowel and am now icing my tongue as i type this.

I Am 1 of 30 People To Get Voyager Today!

Ok so i'm actually writing this on my Voyager! My local Verizon didn't even get any in and won't for a few weeks. So the closest one is about 20 mins away and they only got 30 in! I had to work all day today so my mom actually got up while it was still dark and arrived at the Verizon store at 7AM. She was third in line at that early in the morning! They opened up an hour early and were sold out in 15 mins! They are not going to get anymore in til next week, and it will only be 30 then too. So right now i'm 1 of only 30 people in the entire area to have this awesome phone! I will post a video tomorrow :-)

Major Work Hours Headed My Way; Should I Become Full-Time?

Ok so like 90% of the people that work with me at Bank of America are moving. I mean there are going to be like 3-4 tellers left. That sucks. BUT, it does mean that I'm going to get MAJOR hours and hopefully MAJOR overtime :-). That would rock considering all the money I'm putting out at the moment. It looks like starting in December I could be working between 40-50 hours a week. So awesome! That brings me to my next topic...

... I have been considering going full-time at work. I mean I'm always there 30-40 hours a week now. So being there 40 hours every week might not be a bad idea. The extra mulah would be very appreciated by my bank account as well. So we'll see. I'll make my decision within a week or two while the position is still available.

Hi-Tech Drama

So i've been rambling about technology lately, but here's the breakdown. Last week my phone broke. It won't charge unless you hold the charger in the phone a certain way and sit there until you get enough juice to use the phone. So needless to say, I need a new phone. My contract is up in spring 2008, but some how my local VZW says its time for me to upgrade. I know thats not so, cause my bill says otherwise, and I just know. Its not time, but they say so, so I'm going for it. BUT I just spent $650 on my camcorder and accessories. Well I've been set on the LG Voyager, seen in previous posts, but now VZW just said they have ANOTHER iPhone like phone coming out, its called the Samsung U940. And its awesome lookin. Its aimed for December/January release. So now I'm in a delema. Do I get the Voyager, or wait, for an unknown amount of time for a phone I still know little about because of lack of info? Anyway as I have been debating this little pricey issue, I LOSE MY IPOD! I mean COME ON!!! Lost it yesterday and thought I dropped it as i was running around outside. Didn't find it after hours of searching inside and out. Woke up this morning thinking that now I have to buy a new phone AND a new iPod. Thats about $950! Sucks. I have wanted three things, three major purchases... camcorder (got it), new phone, and iPod touch. I didn't know I'd get the camcorder, than be forced to have to get the other two. Anyway all morning today my fam and I have been searching for the iPod Nano that I call mine. I was scared it was outside in the yard cause it rained all night, and that would be the end of it. I was about to give up and my mom found it... OUTSIDE. :-( It was soaked. She gave it to me and I held it as if it were an ill baby. It was flashing www.apple.com/support/itunes, with a black and white exclamation point. I blow dried it and then I put it on the charger, and nothing except that flashing message for a few minutes... than LIFE! :-D It works :-D I'm so happy. I can't explain it. So now my worries can go back to what phone, and how long do I want to wait? I mean my phone is on the brink of death. Anyway here are the two phones I'm interested in. I just keep telling myself if I wait for the Samsung, by the time its about to come out, I'll hear about another cool phone in the works, and then I'll want to wait for that one. So I'll never get one if I keep waiting. So anyway I have to be logical, lol. Either way I'm only doing a year contract. Ok so here are my two loves... I can only choose one.

Too Excited!

Ok, so I cant contain myself! I NEED MY NEW PHONE! Lol. I am getting way too excited. But i'm starting to get a little weary because I'm looking down the pipeline and seeing a boatload of awesome, sleak, touchscreen futuristic phones making there way to the market. I'm def getting the VOYAGER, but how long will I have it? I dont know, but Im just excited that the phones of the future are finally HERE! :-D

iPhone + EnV = DREAM COME TRUE!

LOL. Ok so I really wanted the iPhone. I mean come on who didn't? And I almost got it. But I just couldn't leave Verizon. Verizon has never let me down, and I can always count on awesome reception with Verizon. VZW also does vigorous testing with phones, so you KNOW that they are quality phones when you get them. So I decided to just hunker down and wait for something else to come along in VZW..... AND IT DID! Its called the Voyager. And thankfully its from Verizon. Its like and iPhone meets the EnV. Its a fully functional touchscreen phone, just like the iPhone, but unlike the iPhone, it actually opens and folds out into a full QWERTY keyboard, like the EnV!!! Now thats freakin' awesome! Its going to cost about $350 for me to get it, but come release day, November 21, 2007 IT'S MINE! LOL. My bank account has certainly taken a beating this month. $650 for camcorder and such in one night, and a few weeks later I'm probably looking at another $400-$500 being sucked outta my account. After that I really have to settle down on spending. I mean these are really that last two things I wanted that were really pricey... oh wait I forgot about the iPod Touch.... crap. Ok after that I'll slow down on spendings lol. But for now my eyes are set on the Voyager! Here's a few pictures of the phone.
