OMG! I'm so excited about "Hairspray"!! I have been waiting for this movie since May!! And now it's almost here!!!! I can't wait to see it. So I have put a countdown on my blog :-). GAH!

FAT

Yeah so I am really getting fat. OK maybe not. I'm just not "anorexic" anymore, and it feels weird. I actually feel stuff, like meat on top of the bones, instead of just the bones. I don't like it much. I mean I was so comfortable with being all bones, and no meat and now it's just weird. I have proof... PHOTO PROOF!!!Look at the pic of what I looked like 2005-2006 and what I look like now in the '07. BIG difference (no pun intended). My Next Door Neighbor Is... Michael Jackson!?!?

(ok not exactly, but close). Sooooo, I have been waiting to tell everyone this until I knew it was official. And it is now official... Michael Jackson (yes THE Michael Jackson), is moving to the area. Apparently he is moving away from the lights of Vegas and into the beauty of... well.... here. I'm ok with it all, but if the paparazzi mess up my car from chasing him in anyway, I will get ticked. So now I apparently have a fellow celeb in the area to steal the paps from me.

Gah! We Got A Maid!

So yesterday was officially our first day with a maid! It was really weird waking up yesterday, cause I knew that someone else would be in my house cleaning. It kinda felt weird when she got there. I mean there was barely any introduction. She practically just walked right in and started to clean... just like that. It was weird, like I already said. Seeing someone you've never met before, in your house cleaning your things. I think in the long run I will get used to it.

So our fish pond was all dirty, so we, and when I say "we" I mean "not me", had to clean it out. But before that could happen, we needed to catch all the fish, big and small. Some babies smaller than an inch, others larger than a foot. Got the whole thing in low quality cell phone video too! LOL

Getting Into The Groove Of Things

So I'm finally getting back into the groove of things here back at home after my 10 day trip. Work and home responsibilities have hit me across the head, and I have to admit I liked it! I mean vacation was fun, but I was ready to get back to stuff. I will probably regret saying it, but I was glad to be back at work. And I PROMISE I will post the pics of the trip.... just as soon as I find the camera.....

My, "My December" Review

So I have downloaded "My December", Kelly Clarkson's controversial third album. It has caused her to fight feverishly with Clive Davis who offered her $10,000,000 just to take out 5 songs and replace them with ones he chose. RCA and her management also came head to head with Kelly. She declined, and upset Clive Davis so much that he snubbed Kelly at the Season 6 American Idol finale, causing an outrage from Kelly fans, and even the media. Then Kelly's first single from the album, "Never Again" pretty much flunked on the charts, prompting her to release another single just 6 weeks later. It was decided that "Sober" would be that single. However since it's release two weeks ago, it isn't moving on the charts. Poor radio plays may have pushed Kelly to recently fire her management, leaving her completely without a manager. And now she has shockingly completely cancelled her national tour, which was supposed to be a spectacular event. I was wondering what this album would sound like, and OMG was I surprised. Nothing like I thought it would. So here we go.....

1) Never Again

Wow. Kelly is angry on this track! Great beats, awesome guitar, definitely deserved to do better on the charts than it did. If RCA actually supported the album, it would have. 9/10

2) One Minute

To me this is the one song I believe everyone is going to remember off "My December". Other than "Never Again", this is the only other single-worthy track. It's catchy. 8/10

3) Hole

Starts out boring, after 40 seconds or so it picks up. The chorus kicks in and the rest of the song is pretty good. The chorus is the only part of the song you remember, it's catchy too. 6/10

4) Sober

Pure genius. The lyrics are the best of the entire album. It is a ballad with almost no music until the third verse. It's all easy an easy tone until the ending where Kelly showcases her vocal ability better than ever. It makes you feel like your falling off a cliff. 9/10

5) Don't Waste Your Time

Mid to uptempo song. I don't know about this one. It's an OK song, but I just don't really get it. It almost seem pointless. Not awesome, not horrible. It's just there. 4/10

6) Judas

Kinda raw. It's OK. The verses are very raspy/raw. Chorus flows more. Not much to say about this one. The more you listen, the easier it is to listen to it again. 6/10

7) Haunted

Everything from the vocals to the music in this song is truly haunting. Personal, artistic perfection. A song about Kelly's highschool friend who committed suicide. Raw and real. Could be single material. Definitely a stand out track on this very personal album by Ms. Clarkson. 9/10

8) Be Still

A very sensual song. Slow and steady, this song is absolute beauty and passion. Certainly not single material, but man is nice to listen to. One of my favorite on the album. 10/10

9) Maybe

Kinda boring. Pretty good lyrics, but thats about it. The main part of the chorus which repeats "maybe", 2-3 times is the only memorable part of the song. However, you can feel that this song is pretty close to Kelly. It illuminates from her voice which saves it. 5/10

10) How I Feel

Interesting and slightly confusing. Kinda a rockish/poppish fun song with raw vocals that sounds like it's on the hyper pill??? LOL. The song is certainly unique with an occasional, fun high pitch jump in Kelly's voice. Makes the whole song, haha. Upbeat with interesting choices of music. Maybe single potential. We'll see. 8/10

11) Yeah

Funky, funky, funky! Catchy chorus. I didn't like this song when I first heard it, but it has grown on me quite a bit. It sounds like a deep southern funky rock song with good vocals. 8/10

12) Can I Have A Kiss

Nice, relaxing song. It's OK. Again, the only reason this song is OK with me is Kelly's vocals save it. The way she can manipulate her voice is amazing. 6/10

13) Irvine

Purely hypnotic. This song is 100% unbelievably outstanding. Again, it is a slow, bluesy ballad. Kelly's voice is incredible. If you didn't know it was Kelly, you wouldn't guess it was her in a million years, it is a completely different, beautiful side to Kelly. This is my favorite song on the entire album. Very "Grey's Anatomy" sounding. 10/10

14) Chivas (hidden track)

This hidden track is a very bluesy, southern slow rock song. Very strong lyrics for such a slow, intimate song with lyrics like "I can't stand the sight of your face", "So much for true love" "You should keep your eyes on your new little brat" and "You are crap", which just happens to be my favorite line on the entire album, lol. I can imagine this playing on a radio in the 50's on a hot summer day on the farm. BTW it's pronounced "Shivuz". 5/10

15) Dirty Little Secret (bonus track)

Good tempo, good music. Kinda fun to listen to and attempt to sing along. Not a stand out song, but is good non the less. 6/10

16) Not Today (bonus track)

Kind of Sheryl Crow sounding? With a more of a Kelly pitch. Not exactly Kel's best by far. Again lyrics are good. This song just doesn't do it for me. 3/10

Over all, you can tell that this album is definitely an artisits album, not a radio friendly one. Kelly gets a lot of stuff off her chest and she stood up to the man. I congratulate her. Now let's release "One Minute" and "How I Feel" and move on to the next album :-).

I Have Officially Ended My Akon Boycott

Ok so I have been boycotting Akon ever since he simulated sex with a 15 year old on stage at a club a while ago. I wrote emails to all my radio stations saying so. I have hated Akon ever since, and refused to listen to his music. Come to find out he didn't know she was under age, since they were in a 21+ club. So I waited for him to apologize to her, the club (because they got shut down), and Gwen Stefani who he was on tour with and ticket sales plummeted and Verizon pulled out of their sponsorship with her. He apologized in a statement, and then released his new song "Sorry, Blame It On Me". I was skeptical at first, but after listening to the song, I 100% forgive him and will once again listen to his music. Here are the critical lyrics in his new song. It takes a man to publicly admit he was wrong, even though the club shouldn;t have let her in, which woulda prevented all of this.

At Airport

Ok so I am headed home! FINALLY!! I had a great trip, but I am finally ready to come home. I know I keep saying that I have pictures, and I do, I just need to upload them and then post them. I will do that sometime this week. I work all day Wednesday-Friday. So it might be awhile. I will most likely post them all in a flash album. Ok well I am gonna go. I have thoroughly enjoyed myself! :-)

Sorry! I Am Finally Updating!

So I lied. I didn't update when I said I would. I've been busy! Lol. So I have found some time (briefly) to update ya. I have been having fun here in West Palm. I have gone to a water park, eatin out, gone to the movies and saw "Surfs Up", which is such a freakin hilarious movie! Definantely more of an adult aimed PG cartoon. And last night I went walking through "Downtown", which is like a ginormous, expensive, upscale Beverly Hills like, multi-level outdoor shopping center. I got some ice cream and posed with some statues. Lol. I have pictures too.

Playing Miniature Golf!

One of my favorite things to do is play miniature golf here in Orlando. It is fun and you get a great tan. Well today I did just that. It was hot, but I was lovin it. I beat my mom by 7! Lol. I rock. I challenge anyone to a game right now ;-).

Yay! I'm Here In Florida!

Yippeeeee! I landed today in West Palm at around 11:45 Am and OMG was it rough! We flew right into Tropical Storm Barry, but all was good. It was a lot of turbulence though! Well then our whole rental car situation happened. And a LLOOONNNNGGGG story short, after an hour and a half we finally got a car from a completely no named company. The cars ok though. So we got to Orlando and wow is it windy! Lol. Anyway I didn't eat or drink anything at all today, I had my first drink at around 5:30 PM. Then I ate some crazy pizza, Chicago style. :-) OMG and the place that we're staying at is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath brand new condo with huge kitchen and tiles all over, omg is it awesome! Well I am now stealing WiFi from the Comfort Inn Suites thats down the road as I watch TV on the leather couch. I will update you later. So far, so good.

I Was Such A Party Pooper!

OMG! So I was watching some old home videos and when I was younger... like the year 2003 and earlier I was like a total LOSER! I mean I was th "party pooper, deflating the happy balloon person"! I have no idea why I was like that, because as you all know that is definantely not the case now! Thank goodness!

Summer (kinda) Fun!

So summer may still be a month away, but that doesn't mean I can't have summer fun! Yesterday I got in the pool because it was 90 degrees out! And today was the same. So I went outside and jumped in the pool and BAM! Had a great time!

I Might Double "Mic's Top 10" This Month...

So the music has ben so unprecedented this month that I have so many songs that are being played like crazy that it just wouldn't be fair to dwindle it to just 10 songs for the month. So I have decided that I might double this months Top 10 to infact include 20 songs. We'll see.

AAAHHHHH!!!! Avril has me going CRAZY!!!!!!! Her song "Girlfriend" is on HEAVY HEAVY rotation on my iPod and is so freaking catchy and awesome! I need to listen to it like 10 times a day just to get my "Girlfriend" fix for the day. BUT! A remix featuring Lil Mama has surfaced and is being played like crazy on the radio and OMG I think it's better than the original! WHAT IN THE WORLD!?!? I CAN'T TAKE ANYMORE!!!! So much "Girlfriend", so little time. Now I have to decide whether I am gonna count this unique remix as a spin added to "Girlfriend" in my Top 10, or should I make it a song of it's own since the verses are done by Lil Mama and chorus is Avril? I don't know what to do. I mean in the past I have always combined remixes with the original, but that was because there were no change in lyrics, no added artists, and if there was, it wasn't that major. However, this one is different. It is like 60% Lil Mama 40% Avril, deeper beats, rap and OMG SO AWESOME!!!! I think I will count it as it's own song. "Girlfriend" will compete against "Girlfriend". Melinda went home tonight on Idol! WTH!?!?! Seriously I did NOT see that one coming. She may not be the youngest, sexiest or cutest person on there, but she had the best voice. I am kinda ticked, however I am also a Blake and Jordin fan, so. But I am just shocked that's all... I thought for sure Melinda and Jordin were in the finale... I guess I was wrong. So the finale this season will be "Beat Boxin' Blake" and "Jolly Jordin Sparks".

Last Minute Change Of Plans!

Ok so all this time my mom and I have been planning a trip from here to Las Vegas June 2 - June 7, then flying from Vegas to West Palm on the 7th til the 12th for the assembly. However, we realized that we really are going to Vegas for no particular reason. Soooooo.... Orlando here we come! We have decided to switch out Las Vegas and the MGM Grand for Orlando! That will make a much easier transition from "fun" to "assembly time". I can't wait til' June!

I have nothing better to talk about, so lemme comment on how Ms. Clarkson presented herself on "Idol Gives Back"... she looked like a hippie. I mean a pretty hippie. She has her hair darkened and lengthened... and just hippie. LOL. She still looks good, I just hope this isn't some kinda new look for her new album.

OK OK OK... WINTER IS FINALLY GONE!

Unless "Mother Nature" decides to pull a fast one, winter is gone. Two and a half weeks ago it was snowing... and I predicted that it would be the last cold shot and snowfall of the season and I am sticking with it. We are almost in May, and a snowfall then would be astronomical... it just won't happen. Looking at the 10 day forecast, it solitifies that winter is gone and summer is here for the next 6 months. So now I have begun to tan my pasty winter skin, by venturing outside and playing basketball shirtless and walking our trails. I LOVE SUMMER!

I Have A New Music Thingy!

OK so I was looking for some new music to listen to, even though I already have plenty, I was just looking and I found this kid from Sweden, Darin Zanyar. He goes just by "Darin". He is REALLY big in Sweden and Finland... but that's it. LOL. He was on "Sweden Idol" a few years ago and placed 2nd... but man can this kid sing. And his beats are outta this world! A lot of it is deep dance beats (my fav), sorta like a Usher / Justin Timberlake / Timbaland / Britney Spears / Shakira mix. LOL. Ok so maybe thats a bit much, but either way its freakin' awesome. He can also belt out some ballads too. I mean he's no Josh Groban... which is good because we already have one of those, lol. Darin is a modern, hip, new face to this awkward stage of music's life. April SNOW Showers, Bring May Flowers?

Ok so it happened. We had snow the other day. Yes, April snow showers. Actually quite a bit considering the time of year. I mean in a month and a half it will be summer... and it's snowing, lol. Any way here are some pics of this April snowstorm. LOL. That sounds weird.

NOT AGAIN! WHAT THE HECK!!!!!!?????????

OK so you scroll down a few posts and you see that last week I was in my shorts and tee shirt walking my puppy on our trail and slightly sweating with temperatures in the 80's. Two nights ago we had three thunder storms between 5-6AM which woke me up from my sleep with HAIL! So obviously winter is gone... right? WRONG! I get up this morning and OMG it is sooooo cold outside! I had to put on my heavy winter jacket! Then I came home and turned on the weather and saw that we are under a "Hard Freeze Warning" and a "Snow Advisory"! What the heck!?!?!?!? A SNOW ADVISORY!?!?!?!? Apparently we're supposed to get 1"-3" of snow... IN APRIL!!!!! The flowers are blooming, pollen is everywhere and trees are begin to get leaves, so naturally it's the perfect time for snow, right? LOL. Seriously, look through the past few months of this blog and see the weird weather. It is just weird... however, I think that because it is afterall April, this should.... SHOULD be the last cold shot and snowfall... and go figure it's in the spring. If it happens, I'll take pics. Meteorologist are calling this unpresidented and record breaking. Weather has never done this before. This stuff is pretty cool... but I am ready for summer.

YAY! YAY! Kelly's New Single! (Sorta)

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!! So as you know I have been patiently waiting for new music from Ms. Clarkson, and I finally know when I will get it! Kelly's new single, confirmed by her herself on her website, is called "Never Again". It will start to be played on the radio on April 11!!!!!!! I am so excited! I will let ya know what I think about it and hope that it leaks like crazy before then.
